With Ramadan here, perhaps you are wondering how you will make the most of it. Are you overwhelmed just thinking about it? Rather than daunt yourself with doubt, simply go back to basics, and power up, by clarifying your intention.
Sincere intentions are an act of the heart. They empower our will and our way, and propel us towards specific goals & up certain trails, no matter how steep. So listen to your heart and honor its true callings. Perhaps you feel a need to move closer to Allah, to be more of the person you know you can be, or know that it’s time to rid yourself of old thinking patterns keeping you stuck worrying, or from appreciating yourself, others, or Allah’s blessings.

To help you clarify your intentions here are a few questions. Give yourself time to answer them, then write your answers down & hang them up somewhere to remind you.
Remember, sincerity of intentions is what Allah ﷻ looks for as the base for accepting our actions and good we try to do. So make sure it’s a matter between just you and Him. In real life, that means not considering what you’ll gain in return, if others will praise or accuse you, or if they know or not. Your sole focus is that you will, one joyous day, meet Allah with a heart that was “set” on glorifying & pleasing Him.

So let’s go, here are the questions:
1- Who do you aspire to become?
I aspire to become ........... (your name), who is ......... and ........ , and who can ........ and ........ , so as to .........
2- What aspects of your personality or current habits will no longer serve these aspirations?
I know that being ......... and/or doing ......... will no longer serve me, and may keep me from being or doing what I want.
3- How can you better nurture your soul this Ramadan to help you shift towards what you intend?
To nurture my soul this Ramadan & propel myself towards my set intention I will ..............
So now go ahead and make this Ramadan count. Empower yourself with sincere intentions, and allow it to bring you light, love, and blessings for your days to come ISA ?
