If you’re anything like us, when you’re planning a trip to your dream destination you always picture yourself in one of those Instagram-worthy travel photos where you seamlessly fit into place, and it all comes together in a perfect moment of style and chicness with an amazing backdrop, right? Problem is, when it comes to the actual tedious packing, no one really wants to do it!  Well, not anymore. We’ve rounded up some of the most popular destinations for 2018, along with the perfect outfit for each spot. Now all you have to do is get on that plane and snap that perfect photo. Just don’t forget to tag us! ?

1- London:

For true London street style think chunky warm layers -trust us, you’ll need them!- and bold statement details. Don’t shy away from mixing patterns -notice how we mixed two plaids here. You’ll be amazed at how brave Londoners are when it comes to experimenting with fashion.

Hijab: EMMA (Café au Lait) – Coat: Burberry – Sweater: H&M – Pants: Zara – Bag: Stella McCartney – Boots: Topshop.

2- New York City:

If you watch too many American movies you might be thinking that all New Yorkers are those really tough, cold people, who are always in a hurry. But know this; New Yorkers have style, and they’re nice enough to stop you and compliment your outfit if they think you got style too!

Hijab: EMMA (Vanilla Steel) – Leather Jacket: Zara – Slogan T-shirt: Victoria Beckham – Jeans: Topshop (Mom Fit) – Fanny Pack: Prada – Shoes: Fendi.

3- Havana:

Fancy yourself a seventies hipster? That means a trip to Havana is probably on your bucket list.  Nowhere else in the world will you find that much vintage cars in all the colors of the rainbow, being driven down the streets as if time just stopped at a much cooler era where people used to wear much cooler clothes.

Hijab: EMMA (Cotton Candy) – Sweater: Gucci – Pants: Bershka – Waist Bag: Prada – Slides: Gucci.

4- Kenya:

If your dream vacation is a trip to the Masai Mara with daily break-of-dawn safari drives, you’ll probably want to act the part too; where you’re this awesome adventurer who has to wear  camouflage colors to blend in with nature, otherwise you’ll be eaten by a whole pride of lions or something -you know that’s not entirely true, but your friends back home don’t really need to know that!

Hijab: EMMA (Frosted Ivy) – Jumpsuit: Mango – Bag: Forever 21 – Sneakers: Coach – Shades: Balenciaga.

5- Greece:

The serene white and blue houses of Mykonos or Santorini are so otherworldly quaint that you won’t believe you’re just a couple of hours away from the urban chaos that is Cairo. Take cue from your surroundings and wear something in the beautifully calming palette of white and blue, with straw and bamboo bags that are both trendy and “beachy”.

Hijab: EMMA (Soha Blue) – Shirt: Equipment – Jumpsuit: Mango – Bamboo Bag: Cult Gaia – Slides: Mango.

6- Morocco:

As cliché as this may sound, but no proper trip to Morocco would be complete if you didn’t pack one outfit that makes you look like an Arabian princess out of a 1001 Nights tale. Think no layers -hello long sleeve maxi dresses!- and comfy breathable footwear. You’ll thank us when you’re in the middle of that Sahara excursion -no camels though!- or when you’re posing for a photo in the luscious blue streets of Chefchaouen.

Hijab: EMMA (Copper Waves) – Dress: Tory Burch – Crossbody Bag: Chloé – Slippers: Mango.

7- California:

Whether you’re going for that photo on the Golden Gate bridge or the Sunset Boulevard strolls or hanging out with all the boho kids in Coachella Valley, you can’t go wrong with a low-key cool-kid outfit that hits just the right balance between “chillax” and “so in rn”. See? we can be cool too (not really!).

Hijab: EMMA (Peaches ‘n Cream) – Bomber Jacket, Jeans, Bag: Zara – T-shirt: Forever21 – Sneakers: Adidas Originals.

8- Paris:

Parisian women are the masters of chic that seems so “I-woke-up-like-this” effortlessly put together -so unfair, we know!- and when paired with this brilliant je ne sais quoi attitude they so naturally have, it’s like magic! To look like the most Parisian version of yourself you’ll have to think minimal, in terms of both colors and silhouettes. And always think quality over quantity.

Hijab: EMMA (Ebony North) – Jumper: Saint Laurent – Palazzo Pants: Stella McCartney – Belt: Chanel – Bag: Chloe – Shoes: Christian Dior.

Love your writing style and the outfits! Paris one is my favorite ? Would love to see how we can wear the newest trends as a hijabi?

    • Salma Shalaby says:

      Thank you! ❤️
That’s a great idea, will make sure to include it in an upcoming article. Duly noted 🙂

Enjoyed it very much thank you! Kenya is on my bucket list ? do you know where I can find summer hats or what shape that would fit with a hegab? I’ve always wanted to wear one because of the sun in summer but always felt they look awkward ?

    • Salma Shalaby says:

      Mine too! ?
As a general rule of thumb, wider hats look nicer with hijab. You can usually find them in the beachwear section in most large retail chains like H&M or Topshop, or -surprisingly enough- in “touristy” bazaars in Cairo, Dahab, or even Luxor.

    • Salma Shalaby says:

      Yes, sure!
For instance, you can wear the NYC or London outfits in most “big city” destinations, the Greece outfit in most mediterranean beach towns, and so on 🙂
