Signs & Keeping Your Heart Alive

It’s easy to feel alone or forgotten in this world, with everything happening too fast or too intense, making you feel insignificant, unheard and lost in it all.  But the One who created you never forgets you, and He is always calling on to you… you’re just not listening.

Look at life as a string of signs from God to you, from the slightest leaf moving across you, to the most -in your face- signs that shake your being. They’re all messages from Him,  calling you and drawing you nearer to Him. You are not alone. You are loved and there is a reason for your existence.

Allah the Most High says:

  “وَسَخَّرَ لَكُم مَّا فِي السَّمَاوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا مِّنْهُ ۚ إِنَّ فِي ذَٰلِكَ لَآيَاتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ”

“Behold, in that are signs indeed for those who reflect.” (13 Al-Jathiya). 

Meaning that everything in this life is created for you, to help and guide you in your journey towards Him. Everything points to Him, for He is your destination.  If only we looked closely, reflected upon what’s around us, and saw beyond the mere surface of things, we would find a never-ending conversation between us & Allah. How beautiful is that? and how could one miss out on such immense beauty! He is so near, yet we make ourselves so far.

After each prayer, and every duaa, on the days you never speak a word, and the ones where your soul is burdened, or the ones your heart is full; you’ll always find a sign to soothe you, to support you, to make you feel less alone. Signs that would assure you that you’re on the right path or warn you of the wrong turn you took, that maybe you need to change this, or quit that. You just need to listen.

Bottom line: Look for Allah everywhere, look beyond, see through, trace the signs and you’ll feel how every puzzle perfectly falls in place. And you’ll deeply feel how you’re always guided by His beautiful presence.  Remember, you’re not alone.
