EMMA is a movement. EMMA is a community. EMMA is here for us to collectively and unapologetically stand together for the values we believe in. As a woman, you have the right to pursue your career of choice and follow passionately your dreams whilst feeling comfortable and elegant in your own choice of modest dress, shining and not hiding in the modern world.
Your choice to dress modestly shouldn’t hamper you from doing what you love and being who you are. Nor does it mean that covering up means becoming invisible or looking frumpy and unfashionable. Quite the opposite actually, it empowers you to stand up and out with radiant confidence and elegant comfort and take on the world with dignity.
EMMA stems phonetically from the word أَمَة , meaning servant of Allah ﷻ EMMA is faith driven fashion that provides us with the garments that help us strive for the Divine.
E They are Elegant because we believe that modesty is treating your beauty with dignity and not an attempt at hiding it. We are always reminded that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: “Allah is beautiful and He loves beauty.” Sahib Muslim (911)
And within the context of keeping modest in our attire, speech and behavior, we should strive for beauty that reflects Allah’s beautiful creation around us, simple yet elegant and sophisticated.
M They are Modern because we believe the modern woman needs clothing that keeps up with her ambitious pace and busy lifestyle. Clothes that don’t burden her at work nor get in her way tending to her children. Clothes that are practical and chic. Fashion that is sophisticated yet simple enough to be wearable everyday
M They are Modest because you are acknowledged from the onset and not ignored at the drawing board. Designs and materials are picked with you in mind, merging faith with fashion. No need to be worried about sheer materials, sleeves or hem lines not long enough or body hugging cuts. Your voice is heard and your needs are rights to be met.
A You want to dress they way you want, they way you believe. Dress is an outward manifestation of your heart, mind and soul. Hijab isn’t just the scarf you put on your head, nor the garments you clothe your body with modestly, but its also and equally important how you carry yourself with dignity and respect. We will try our best not only to provide high quality elegant modest clothing, but also foster a community of support where we collectively strive to be the best version of ourselves, pleasing our Lord ﷻ
No more scouring the stores looking for something decent to wear, or compromising your values or even wrestling with layers to patch up clothes that are to your liking fashion wise but not meeting your modesty standards. Nor do you have to settle for something modest that doesn’t suit your taste nor reflect who you are. We are here to change that together.

من أول يوم بدأنا وإحنا مقررين إننا مش هنكون مجرد براند. إحنا عيلة، ومكان آمن بندعم بعض ونساند بعض في نفس الرسالة اللي كلنا بنؤمن بيها. كل بنت ليها الحرية في اختيار شغلها و أحلامها و طموحاتها، وإحنا جزء في إنها تظهر دايماً في حياتها بأحسن شكل وهي بتحقق كل أحلامها بكل ثقة و من غير أي خوف
اختيارك لأنك تلبسي محتشم مش المفروض يعطلك عن تحقيق كل اللي نفسك فيه، بالعكس، دي حاجة بتميزك وبتخليكي مختلفة عن كل اللي حواليكي وقادرة تواجهي الحياة بشكل أقوي
إسم البراند أصله في اللغه العربية جاي من كلمة “ أَمَة“ ومعناه عبدة الله ﷻ لأننا بنؤمن إن الحجاب هو خطوة مهمة وجميلة بتساعدنا في طريق القرب من الله ﷻ وهدفنا إننا نخليها خطوة سهلة بأننا نوفر كل الحاجات المناسبة اللي تخليكي مرتاحه وفخورة وانتي لبساه
عشان كده كل حرف في أسمنا بيمثل جزء من هدف البراند..
E for Elegant
أنيق: لأننا مؤمنين ان الاحتشام هو إنك تعاملي جمالك بكرامة مش مجرد بس إنك بتغطيه. ودايما بنفتكر قول الرسول ﷺ “إن الله جميل يحب الجمال.
ولازم زي ما بنحاول نختار لبسنا وكلامنا و أخلاقنا أنها تكون بترضي الله ﷻنكون بنعمل دا بطريقة بسيطة وراقيه تعكس كل الجمال اللي فينا وحوالينا
M for Modern
عصري: لأن كل بنت محجبة محتاجة لبس يتماشي مع الموضه وسرعة حياتها وشغلها. يكون لبس عملي وشيك وبسيط تقدر تلبسه كل يوم وتكون دايما في أحسن صورة ليها.
M for Modest
محتشم: لأنك محور اهتمامنا و بنصمم ليكي مش لكل الناس، فدايما بندقق في أصغر التفاصيل اللي تهمك كمحجبة وغيرنا غافل عنها حتي لو بسيطة ونعمل تصميمات وخامات تليق بيكي وباحتياجاتك، علشان تكون جامعه بين الاحتشام والموضه. الفكرة إن مفيش حد قبل كدة فكر يعمل لبس لينا مخصوص ويكون مش بس محتشم ولكن كمان يكون أنيق وعملي، فا اللبس الضيق والقصير و الشفاف أو الموضة القديمة أو الموضة اللي هتخلص أو التصميم اللي مش عملي ، دي كلها حاجات بنتفاداها.. لأننا بنسمع صوتكم وعارفين أحتياجتكم اللي من حقكم أنها تتحقق
A for Attire
“ملابس: اللبس هو انعكاس لقلبك وعقلك وروحك، الحجاب مش مجرد الطرحة اللي بتحطيها علي راسك او اللبس اللي بتلبسيه باحتشام، الحجاب هو طريقة للحياة، وازاي بتتعاملي بكل جانب في حياتك باحترام وكرامة تليق بيكي
هنوفرلك لبس ميخلكيش مضطره تلزقي لبس فوق بعض علشان تكملي حجابك، او تفضلي تدوري علي حاجة محتشمة ومتلاقيش، او حتي تلبسي حاجة محتشمه بس تكون مش علي ذوقك أو مش بتعبر عنك بس لأن مفيش غيرها. إحنا هنا عشان نغيَّر دا مع بعض

I just read this introduction Mona, its so powerful. It made a deep impact on me. Sometimes, during the whirlpool we call our life, one tends to forget her values and beliefs and why i chose to be a hijabi. MsA your words reminded me of how proud I should be and inspired me to be a better model for my fellow “EMMAs” .
